Heading out to smoke a joint only to find traffic backed right up in my area every single day can be a frustration! I am pretty open with my cannabis smoking but technically if an officer wants to cause me grief it’s the same charge here in Victoria Canada as open liquor 🤦♂️
We asked for legalization and got it but did we realize the complications that would come along... weed has always been treated worse than alcohol and I never expected it to be treated any better yet somehow I never though charges for smoking on the main street would be something I need to think about 🤔
Maybe it’s because to me marijuana is a natural medicine not a freaking drug that can be abused in anyway... yes it sucks to go without but unlike our normal intake stimulants like caffeine there is no real physical withdrawal.. only mental discomfort.
Somehow I failed to understand... well I do understand why... I naively thought it would be treated more like smoking cigarettes than drinking alcohol.
So I find myself now in a worse place prior to legalization as I cannot smoke at my residence and must venture outside.. before they would simply take it and if carrying enough charge for possession(big whoop I only ever have a few joints) but now I can get charged for the act of smoking in public... or anywhere really that isn’t private property I am approved to smoke on 🤔

Agreed, always the fine print that gets yea 😅 Laws that restrict ones freedoms are against my belief system!

So you can't smoke in your residence, and you can't smoke in public? So where are you supposed to smoke? That's confusing.
Basically I just try find somewhere no one will be bothered by it but yea the laws have made it so you can only smoke legally on private property which I rent an apartment that has no smoking rules SMH
