While my eyes were in awe as I scanned the whole living room of my friend's apartment, there was this one thing that caught my attention.
In my elementary school days, I never read books. Though I hung out with friends who were among the top 3 in class, reading was never my thing. Music, Disney Cartoons, and Fairytales on the other hand were my favorite and so from time to time, I would come across books wherein I could read about anything on them.
As I grew older, my appreciation for reading books became sort of a display of likes. Something I could do to make me look acceptable to some group of friends.
And because I loved coffee shops, I had to bring any book that would keep me out of boredom. Until I found myself reading and reading and reading just about anything interesting.
Now, going back to my visit to a friend and in her apartment, I saw this book entitled "What I Know For Sure -- Oprah Winfrey".
I normally don't ask if I can borrow things, but this time, I couldn't help myself and before I could say anything more, she offered to lend it to me.
Of course, I was the happiest at that moment for I knew I was going to be inspired, motivated, fulfilled!
As I started reading the book, a sense of calmness mixed with eagerness was upon me.
I love books like these. I hope I'll get more time this year 2022 to read more and more.
