"The Legendary Hero"
Once upon a time, a child was born with supernatural powers. He could already talk at the moment of his birth. At five months old, he gathered a pack of wolves and roosters to make them his companions. He spent hours training them for the greatest adventure he had already planned as an infant. When he was one year old, he killed a group of headhunters who wanted to invade his family's village with the help of his trained wolves and roosters. He was declared the hero of their village.
A few months later, leaving the animals behind, he went on sailing with his father to explore the vast ocean and search for this island that was known to have hidden treasures. However, during this voyage, the heroic child was eaten alive by a three-eyed sea monster. At once, the father grabbed his spear and struck the monster in its middle eye. He opened the body of the monster to retrieve what was left of his only child.
The whole village mourned for the death of their hero for seven days. On the seventh day, the child was reborn from his retrieved bones. The people celebrated and the news about this supernatural phenomenon spread like wildfire through nearby villages and towns. As a result, many chieftains of neighbouring villages and even those from far away wanted their daughters to be wed to this legendary child.
The child grew up a mighty man of valour and unspeakable strength. Accompanied by his best animals, a rooster and the pack of wolves, he left his village on a quest to win the love of the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. She was the daughter of the rival village chief. The maiden was surrounded by a thick crowd of suitors. He commanded his rooster to flap its wings. The rooster heeded and so it flapped its wings vigorously until the chieftain's hut collapsed, much to the amazement of the people in that village, including the beautiful maiden and her throng of suitors. The hero then commanded his wolves to howl, and so they did, and the chief's hut rose back to its former position.
Everyone was astonished, most importantly the chieftain. He accepted the hero's dowry of seven wooden chests full of different gemstones and pieces of jewellery he and his father found in the treasure island. The hero married the fair maiden in her village and later took her home to his home village where they ruled and lived happily ever after.
I really love the story especially because it ended up being a happily Ever After Story!!
Thank you! I love a story, too, that has a happy ending. :-)
