“Night Shift at Dafastlivery” - A Freewrite Wednesday, Day 768

This time was different. The shift began from Friday afternoon until Monday afternoon, the longest shift he ever had. The phone was ringing and his hands were typing the keyboard sending out quotes and bills. The business was doing great. The night shift has been more interesting with their new platform set in place.

The start up was founded two years ago in the living room of his aunt. He casually hung out and invited friends to join over afternoon snacks and soon enough there were five of them doing it full time. David named his service, Dafastlivery, providing a fast and convenient delivery in this city at affordable price. They hired recommended freelancers to do the delivery on bikes and on motorcycles, and sometimes they used car and truck to move bigger things when their clients needed. Amongst all these, their highest income was from delivering the letter and small packages.

The revenue increased as more and more companies become regular clients. Many were switching to his start up after the disappointment on the public post service. The new generation took over and made the experience fast and flawless for the demanding clients.

The new addition to their main business was food delivery. They offered memberships to restaurants in town and provided efficient delivery to their customers and it was booming. Night shift was busy during weekdays and weekends too, especially when the weather was cold and raining. It’s another addition to the little things that the town citizens loved. One click away and their dinner was served in the comfort of their own home.
