Just snapped this with my LG3. Then did my magical photoshop.

One of the most beneficial spices of all time. There are dozens of
uses for this amazingly yummy smelling spice. Cinnamon can be
used for freshening your room, just sprinkle some in a wax warmer.
It is a good cat deterrent too because they hate the smell.
It can be used for fighting colds, especially if you mix it with a bit
of honey. It has anti inflammatory benefits too.
I love cinnamon and so does my son. We use it in so many things,
breakfast wise. He loves it on bagels and toast. I use it in yogurt, to
spice it up at bit. Pancakes? You better believe it. Hmmm, I wonder
if they would ever make cinnamon scented perfume.
Yeah that would be over doing it. What do you all use cinnamon for?

Sort:

People with diabetes often face dietary restrictions to control their blood sugar and prevent complications.
Although research is in a preliminary stage, cinnamon may help fight some symptoms of diabetes. It is also unlikely to cause blood pressure spikes, or disrupt blood sugar. So, people with diabetes who miss a sweet pop of flavor may find that cinnamon is a good replacement for sugar. People with diabetes who are interested in herbal remedies, however, may be surprised to learn that doctors are serious about the potential for cinnamon to address some diabetes symptoms. Levels of cinnamon intake reduced blood sugar levels and cholesterol. The effects were seen even 20 days after participants were no longer taking cinnamon. So it's good for you health wise.

I put cinnamon on my oatmeal, and a little in my coffee along with honey and dark chocolate almond milk.

thanks @pixiehunter for the knowledge, we often make for spices and other dishes

Nice. I use it for a lot of things. I have two cats: I'd better be careful where I sprinkle it. ;-)

I'm sure it would probably have to be a good amount. But my cat sneezes when he smelled cinnamon on my hands, lol.

I was afraid of taking a handful of cinnamon and dusting my cat's nose in it. However, I had some cinnamon for breakfast and he seemed to want to get away from me! Again, thanks for the post. Here is today's: https://steemit.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/day-126-5-minute-freewrite-thursday-prompt-switch

I'm almost afraid to ask why you would dust your cats nose with it. I meant if I had been using cinnamon and had any on one of my hands, he would smell it and then back off.

Guys tend to think about “what if”. But I’m not a mean person, so I wouldn’t actually do it.

Lol that's good :-)

Cinnamon is also good for the skin, so does my husband say as he made some mudpack out of cinnamon and honey. Go figure it out in my freewrite. Lol.

Now cinnamon for perfume? That would be unique. lol.

Apple and cinnamon tea. Nice :-)

I didn't think about putting it in yogurt!! going to try that tomorrow!!

It is actually pretty good, especially if you tend to buy plain or vanilla. :-) I just put whatever amount to my taste, which ends up probably about 1-2 tsp.

@mariannewest, did you try it in the yogurt?
