Waking up without her was like waking up without a limb. He felt like he was missing a piece of him, but he knew it was for the better.
Wasn't it?
It's funny. After everything she did to him, he missed her. Despite her lying to him, he missed her. Despite her hurting him, he missed her.
Despite her breaking his heart...
He missed her.
Even so, he had to move on.
So days passed, time went forward, and so did he. It wasn't until he went to the supermarket to get some groceries that he saw her.
She was with the man that she had been lying about, laughing at something she said.
Seeing her happy, seeing her smiling and laughing like this was a bit like biting a lemon.
It left a sour, tart, acidic taste in his mouth.
