The Impeachment Of The Nigerian President: What You Need To Know

in #freewriters3 years ago

In the past few years, Nigeria has experienced several terrorist attacks. Abuja, known as the home of Aso Rock, is currently under attack by unknown shooters. These attacks are not just limited to being violent; they also include the disruption of everyday life and economic prosperity. The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, has been accused of not doing enough to stop these terrorist attacks from happening as he is always shocked at the occurrences.

He was elected in 2015 after defeating his opponent at the polls by about 200,000 votes. But there have been many issues with his administration since then. In 2016, an attack on Nigerians in the country's capital city of Abuja killed over 100 people and injured hundreds more. It is believed that Boko Haram had planned this attack and killed those people because they were Christians. Since then, a series of killings and kidnappings have taken place and is still taking place. In the recent video released by BBC, the leaders of the deadly and notorious group have been exposed to significant leaders in Nigeria.

The Nigerian people have been suffering insecurity and violence for many years. And now they are demanding answers from their leaders. The President has failed to provide them with any answers or solutions, and so he must be impeached immediately!
The Nigerian Constitution states that a president can be removed from office through an impeachment process if they are found guilty of committing an act that is considered illegal or unconstitutional under the constitution.
In the past few days, there have been protests in the senate for the impeachment of the Nigerian President. This impeachment is because of his incompetence, failure to provide security, and the level of damage done to the economy following the inflation rate of the country's currency.
The President has committed high treason against his country by failing to provide security to the people of Nigeria. Thus, it is sensible to carry out the impeachment.
The impeachment process of a president on the issue of insecurity is fascinating. It would be interesting to see how it plays out, if at all.
The current state of insecurity within our nation has reached a critical point. We need to take action now before it's too late. The people are not safe, and we are all at risk of being kidnapped or killed by criminals or terrorists.

We cannot keep pretending everything will be okay if we wait for the next election. It's not just about one person—it's about all of us and what we stand for as a country. If we don't act now, then who will?
