Good morning all, doing my 5 minutes free writing with prompt - Own Goal. Hope you enjoy the story.
James was surprised to find a depressed Jones when he is back home. Jones was supposed to have participated in the national inter school soccer game. Jones pride himself as the best defender any team could ask for.
After dinner, James decided to talk to Jones to understand what has happened, upon further probing, Jones said he scored an own goal in the match when the ball deflected off his body and his keeper was already jumping towards the original line of the ball.
Jones blamed himself for the goal and the match ended in a draw, James consoled him is the experience and the effort he should remember and take away from the match, his life is not defined by a goal.
