Friday Goodness

And it's Fri-Yay!💖

I was at the Health Office in the morning for my second appointment. Because I didn't want to wait too long (in case there was a queue), I went early, just when they opened. Someone was earlier than me, but she was asked to wait for the Health officer, so they catered to me next.

"Who did that last time?" one of the staff was shocked when she saw my swollen arm, which they injected during my first visit (Wednesday). "I didn't check her name, but she was instructed by MHO (Municipal Health Officer) to do it," I replied. "That wasn't me for sure," the other lady butted in. "Nope, it wasn't you," I confirmed. They gave me two shots, one on each arm. Thank goodness it was swift! I paid and left soon after.

Spent the rest of the day at Dad's house for the unfinished recoating job. After dinner, I visited my new plants out in the yard. I was chuffed to see fungi growing among the roses.

I was intrigued by this rose, so we brought one home, hoping to propagate it during the wet season. The seller called it "Orange and Lemon" (likely because of the color of its flowers). It's pretty nice!

We also got bougainvilleas in a few colors. I wanted the "Mr & Mrs" but the shop that sells it was closed. We'd pick up one or two next time!

Some more decorative Blue Cypress were added to the mix, which I managed to transplant into our existing plant pots.

Two pots of these evergreen plants, called Brazilian Selloum, have already produced new shoots since we brought them home. Will transfer them when they mature.

Two sets of the Rose Mose were added to the low-maintenance plants. These are resilient and thrive even on very little water. We have transferred some of them to the plant beds, hoping they would populate the spaces.

The Bermuda grasses were placed between the beds. Hope they will grow lush in the next few months.

And our Majesty Palm and Hinoki Cypress are looking great. I'm yet to decide where to position them.

I'm quite happy to have added a bit of color to the little space in our yard and hope to keep them healthy and thriving. Will be hunting for more additions in the next few weeks. Until then, I'll take pleasure in seeing these every day while we are here.

Magandang buhay :)
