If you ever see a link starting with "localhost" or "127.0.0.1" or "::1", think twice before publishing it on the internet. Such link will most probably work only on your computer. This three names literaly mean "your computer". If you click on it, it will try to download the page from your computer. If I click on it, I will try to download it from mine computer. If Joe clicks on it, he will try to download it from his computer. And so on. Whatever the technical reasons for that, the point is, You have something on your computer, installed at port 8888, that makes it work. Me and Joe don't have it, and most people don't have it, and clicking on that link will do nothing (or show that page is dead). You can confirm that here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Localhost#Loopback . To work it around, use a proper hostname or IP address instead of 'localhost'/etc. Here's an example: https://steemit.com/steemit/@rangertx/howtousesteempressonyourwordpressblogstepbystep-tisgyq5np5 - see how there's no localhost or 127 or ::1 in the URL there.
