Hello this is my entry for #fruitsandveggiesmonday contest created by my dear @lenasveganliving.
Today I want to challenge you to discover this rare fruit before continuing reading this post. What fruit is this? I was in the market of my city buying fruits and vegetables and suddenly I saw this juicy fruit that I love (I do not know if in other countries people know it) I was struck by the size..............................
Well it is a soursop or as we say in my country "guanabana".
Soursop is a fruit native to the tropical regions of the Caribbean and Central America. It has a flavor between sweet and sour and has a texture similar to that of a banana. It has beneficial properties in the treatment for cancer, and although there is no medical evidence of this, it is considered as an alternative treatment for this disease. In a very personal case that I share with you, my mother was operated on for breast cancer and the soursop helped in the treatment, since today she has no trace of this disease.
Well I hope you like it. Thanks for visit my blog. Bye bye

I've heard they are delicious but have not had the opportunity to try one yet myself!
Thank you so much for sharing this article with us, because I always see this fruit in the stores here in Mexico but I've never tasted it so far. Now Indefinitely will :)
Share a bit of that guanabana for a smoothie .. Happy afternoon!
Soursop? I had no idea it can grow that big! That is truly amazing and I bet it's delicious too. Thank you for sharing it with us @rubertd 🍒 🍌🍑🌿🍍🍓🍇
I've bought it the other day just out of curiosity. I didn't know what it was but wanted to try! I found the taste incredibly delicious! It was such a mixture of different aromas newly mixed: as you said I tasted bananas but also pears too and pineapple and many other things! Very good! Nevertheless I don't think I will buy this very often because it comes such a long way here and this isn't very sustainable. But thank you for the reminder! I almost forgot about this experience two months ago ...
