The comments section was rife with ridiculousness on this one.
We were all pretty shocked when Fat Shady (original name, I know) released a song called 瓜老外 or Stupid Foreigner.
Although he makes the distinction between "stupid foreigners" and his "foreign friends", the whole video reeks of having been burnt by a foreigner he knew, or the cheap views he would get from pissing off a huge group of people.
Either way, I tend to stay away from things like this, but in this case, it was too juicy and yummy not to do a video on it.

Sure, there really are some pretty idiotic stupid foreigners in China, but that track didn't come across very well at all; despite one of my Chinese friends insisting that the lyrics were greatly misunderstood.
He also seems to begrudge former English teachers becoming entrepreneurs in China. There's a fair few foreigners in Chengdu that fit into category, it's a city that really to attract the creative types; there's said to be some people living there who came over as lost backpackers and ended up staying for over 10 years.
This is bizarre because if someone was indeed teaching English in China simply due to a lack of other opportunities back home (which sadly, happens), then surely they should be applauded for following a path of self-improvement and creating new opportunities for themselves and others?
Of course, people like this Fat Shady guy seem to believe that when a foreigner enjoys any real degree of success in China, it will have been without any doubt the result of exploitation or stealing something from the Chinese people. The fact that many Chinese people no longer tend to feel inferior at the side of foreigners and feel no need to place novelty value upon them is a good thing; but this outburst of anger and frustration towards foreigners is a step in the wrong direction.
