9 - Celebrate in style…
You just know that when it comes to Beyonce and Jay-Z, nothing is done in small measures. $200 000.00 is the amount they spent on Blue Ivy’s 1st birthday party. They spent $95 000.00 on white and pink roses, $2000.00 on the cake, $30 000.00 for presents and a Barbie that was custom made for Ivy, encrusted in diamonds – that cost $80 000.00.
8 - The party don’t start…
Till I walk In! This is one you would wish to have had as a kid! Did you know that you can book for your kid and their friends to have a sleepover at Hamleys!! You pay roughly $5600.00 to book the store on a Saturday night, and that includes a photoshoot, entertainer, treasure hunt, a movie at midnight and breakfast. I wonder if they would do this for adults too? Book me in please!
7 - Party like there’s no tomorrow…
Steven Duggan is a celebrity event planner from London and he create the most exquisite parties for children. Back in 2013 he did an Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan themed party for twins who were celebrating their first birthday. The cost you must be wondering… was $87 000.00. There were props, special lighting, a buffet and the most incredible tired Alice in Wonderland Cake. He’s done parties for Elton John and Simon Cowell, but says that non-celebs actually spend more on their parties then the celebs!
6 - Happy Birthday!
So when the Beckhams son Brooklyn turned 6, they spent a whopping $187 000.00! To be fair, not all of it was spent on a lavish party, but rather on a custom-built playhouse. It was a 16-foot playhouse with a castle, drawbridge and tower. They also had the band The Wanted performing at the birthday party!
5 - Pamper Party…
These usually happen when a few female friends – usually grown up – get together and head to a spa for some facials, massages, pedis and manis, and not when you turn 6. But these are becoming more and more common among little girls – and seems a lot more boring than like playing musical chairs, or pin the tail on the donkey. Tori Spelling spent around $6000.00 on her daughter Stella’s 6th birthday party, which included a $90.00 spa treatment for each guest, and they all went home with a robe, light-up slippers and a backpack filled with other gifts.
4 - It’s my party, and I’ll cry if I want to…
TLC had a reality TV series called Outrageous Kid Parties, and one of the more memorable episodes featured Gracie – a very spoilt 6-year old. The party cost mom, Nicole, $32 000.00. The party featured a Cinderella Carriage, actors, jugglers and jesters, plus a 9-tier cake. There were spa treatments the day before, and her mom said she wanted her to still believe in Fairytales. Gracie wasn’t always impressed though, she wasn’t happy that the bird on the cake was purple and not blue, and wasn’t that excited with the mini car she was bought as her present.
3 - Kidchella…
That’s the nickname that was given to North West’s first birthday party! A play on Coachella, the music and arts festival in California. There was a Ferris Wheel in Kourtney Kardashian’s garden, where the party was held, churro carts, a mock stage for the kids to perform on, lemonade stands and face-painting. Pity she won’t remember any of it!
2 - Best Birthday ever…
In true Mariah Carey style, there was nothing underrated about Moroccan and Monroe’s first birthday party. They were taken to Paris for a black-tie event to celebrate their birthday. Even the twins were dressed formally, and they received above average presents – which included a toy Ferrari, mini white piano and rocking horse.

We’ve featured the party that Brooklyn had to celebrate his 6th birthday, and his younger brother Cruz also had a super birthday when he turned 5. The family hired out the entire Hollywood’s Extreme Martial Arts World headquarters, which has trampolines, cube pits, spring floors – really the ultimate venue for 5 -year olds to get rid of energy. They had superhero’s like Spiderman and Thor spending time with the kids, and of course everything in terms of food and supplies that would be in the dreams of most ordinary kids.
