Today we did another experiment that the instructions said. This was the last experiment for the ecological battery.
Τhe equipment that we needed were: 2 pieces aluminum foil, 2 pieces of cotton, 2 coins, vinegar, saucer, clothes pin, clock, speaker, lamp.
We put the cotton on a saucer and then we add in vinegar.
Then we placed in line an aluminum foil, cotton, coin.
Αnd again one after the other an aluminum foil, cotton, coin.
We caught them together with a clothes pin.
Τhe battery was ready...
We connected one side of the cable from the coin and the other side of the cable to the aluminum foil and the clock worked.
We put the speaker in the battery and worked normally.
We put the lamp in the battery ... BUT... it did not work... this happened because the cotton was very damp and the vinegar stood all over the battery, it became a short circuit and the light burned.
My son was sad about it, but i told him "do not worry, we will buy a new experiment".
