I accept her for who she is, and expect as much in the future. People like that have a deep need for attention, a need one person can not fill. I would only have an open relationship with this one.

If you are both adults and you are both open about it with each other, shrugs, doesn't sound to me like it would bring happiness, but whatever works for you.
Happiness is a state of mind, your own mind. You can not rely on others for happiness, it must be found within yourself.
