I remember the first time I watched Most Haunted! The leather faced, walnut skinned, self-proclaimed genius that is Derek Acorah twisted my melon. This mediums uncanny ability to predict tapping, followed by eerie wheezes just boiled my head!
I couldn't work out how such Voodoo as knowing the ghost story for a particular location could be true!!! What mystic powers this messiah of the choir of the spiritualist church displayed.
It was baffling...
Until...
I had a little think about it...

Still to this day I enjoy a good old fashioned episode of this British bastion of insane reality tv. There is nothing quite like watching an aging blue peter star, wandering around the stately homes of this once proud nation with an uncle fester look-a-like and a parapsychologist who is in it for the shits and giggles.
However, my innocent naivete has gone! The days when I watched slack jawed while Derek wheezed a whistling blast from flared nostrils as Yvette told everyone to be quite, before gasping "Did you hear that!"... are well and truly over 😪 🤓
Right, now I am off to watch the classic episode where Derek gets possessed... mnnnn, that's some good TV.
This post is in response to @mariannewest freewrite writers prompt, as well as being my second entry into #comedyopenmic challenge. I nominate @andywong31 + @dedicatedguy for some chuckles in the next round. I have to confess that I over ran the 5 minutes in the freewrite by about 30 seconds as my brain nearly exploded from multi-tasking. I also did take a while after writing to find the gifs and images for this post. I hope I can be forgiven? If not, I will come back to haunt you all with my terrifying nose wheezes 😉 👻 💨

Yes, that is what I thought. The rant just kinda poured out of me from the freewrite prompt then at the end I thought, hang on a minute this would make a good comedy open mic post lol. The only thing is, I'm not sure if anyone who isn't from the UK would get the references 😂

Raj are my initials and raj808 is the handle I used to use in an msn chat years ago. Lol, I used to get Indian ladies trying to chat me up all the time and indian dudes assuming I was Indian and talking about cricket a lot. I didn't mind as I love india and indian culture so it was all good :-) I suppose I should have assumed it would be the same on steemit. I wish I had thought about it more and used my bloggers name of 'scuba scribe' for my account when I signed up.... dohhh
