That Flopping Dolphin Guild might be a good idea, I would support such a thing. I keep hearing little things about the mechanics of these proposed 'communities' here, but I'm not understanding how that works yet, or if it might serve the flopping dolphin in any way.
Give or take a couple of zeros, we old-timers are faced with the same situation that we started with, hoping to stand out in a sea of images and headlines. We don't know if we will be noticed, and sometimes posts drop like rocks, but we keep doing it anyway. I always look at it as a living portfolio, something that I can go back and pick through for gems in the future, and I might even see rewards the same week. My old art career was the same, except without the weekly rewards.
