I don't usually post raw shots of our chairs, but I think it is important to show you our philosophy behind these chairs.

The essence of a Chameleon chair is mainly to achieve maximum adaptability. The adaptability comes from creating a standard set of dimensions and production techniques for our chairs.

All of our frames are 100% steel. All of the pieces are in standard sizes that you can buy at any steel manufacturer. The art and beauty comes from the way the steel is bent and assembled to create a much more refined design than people would expect from pre-fabricated steel parts.

Our manufacturer is a Los Angeles based family owned business, which is a great testament to the business. They produce thousands of our chairs per month.

I will be posting more about the process of our chairs soon.

Best,

Benji

This chair is super beautiful, hard to design a more elegant chair I would say. Did you study design before, how did you enter this field ?

Hi,

First of all thank you for your comment. I studied architecture and entered the field along with furniture design 3 years ago. My partner is 64 years old and has been working with steel furniture design for about 20 years now. I am simply helping him refine the chairs through digital modeling and precise shop drawings. He is also an architect, but we needed to postpone our practice because he is in China on an extended business trip.

Thanks again for showing interest.

Best,

Benji

Thanks for your comment and I think the chair really is in a class of its own! I studied industrial design before with focus on furniture design in China so I always enjoy good looking furniture!

@bengibergian yes man good philosophy behind chairs and these chairs look like awesome but steel chairs are not comfortable for us I think??

Hi,

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, we have gotten that question a lot by people who have never sat on the chair before. It is actually designed to be as close to perfect ergonomics as possible. The cushion (which I haven't shown here for purposes of showing the frame) has been tested for years now and it has been tweaked and improved upon ever since. We are still trying it to make it better as often as can.

The back of all of our chairs are actually curved in the exact same manner. The shape of the back is actually a small part of the comfort factor. The cushion ends up playing a very large role, so the back mostly assists in delivering a subtle curvature for the back to fig snugly in. \

Hi,

Thanks for liking the chair. It is worth between $100-$130 per chair depending on the finish and type of cushion. fabrics. Since we sell chairs to several rental companies that buy by the hundreds or thousands, the price per chair can be as low as $80.

@benjiberigan,
Where could we buy them? Thanks for the reply!

I have to check what the minimum amount of chairs you need to buy. If you were to buy some anytime, how many would you want. Also, where do you live? We ship them from one location only as of right now.

such a unique concept of Chair Design
