Try sneezing with your eyes open or even turning river Nile into dry land using a basket. I wish you good luck with that. Seriously, I do. When you are done, I do hope Guinness world book of record welcomes you with open arms. I’m certain that while you are at it, others will be busy with their lives engaging in more gainful ventures and you’ll be sorry

NOW HERE IS A BORROWED STORY
A man and his son were once going with their donkey to the market. As they were walking along by the donkey’s side a country man passed them and said “why walk when you have a donkey to ride! The father decided to seat his son on the donkey. Soon they met another couple. “How shameful of you” Cried the woman? “Let your father ride, won’t he be tired? So the boy got down and the father rode the donkey. Again, they journeyed. “Poor boy” said the next person they met. Why should the lazy father ride while his son is walking? So they both got on the donkey. They met some travellers “how cruel of them! They are up to kill the poor donkey” cried one of them. Hearing this, the father and his son got down. Now they decided to carry the donkey on their shoulders. As they did so, the travellers broke into laughter. That laughter frightened the donkey; it broke free and galloped away”.
How about that for a lesson on listening and reaching to just anything? Golden.
Stories aside, people-pleasing is becoming a sad epidemic in our lives. We’ve all done it at some point. If you’ve got a thousand and one friends and relatives and you think you can say YES to all of them at once without misplacing priorities and doing something wrong, then you my dear are sadly mistaken. At some point you’ll have to learn how to say NO and forget about what some persons will say. Certainly we all want to be nice; we all want to be liked. And we probably say yes more times than we want to get there. It’s no news that people must talk about whatever you do be it right or wrong, you just have to be certain you’re on the right path and don’t be surprised if you’re still slanged for it.
Frankly speaking, as human, there is this part of us that want to scream yes when someone comes asking for any kind of favour (even if it’s wrong) and place his head at an angle of 45 degrees.
Although people-pleasing has its advantages, it definitely has demerit in any situation. One person always ends up losing out and that person is you.

WHAT YOU RISK LOSING
 You are not the priority.
 You don’t have time for loved once.
 You are taken for granted.
 You lose your identity.
 You cannot lead.
 You cannot take firm decisions.
 You are stressed.
 You risk spending too much of your life being what others want you to be rather than being what you want to be
