Moving, what a schlep

in #future6 years ago

So we have to pack up and move as I have had to find other employment. This is the time you realise how much stuff you accumulate and in our case there isn't much we don't use, but stuff. The cutlery, crockery, photo frames, fridge magnets, cd's, ornaments, winter clothes as summer is coming on with all fury and just generally everything we can do without for the next few days.

Boxes are market and you hope whoever helps you will read the ones marked fragile. It's a weird feeling, you know that you are at least going to something that provides you with a living after the one you had now that afforded you a living, but a weird feeling. I know some of the people that I'm going to work with although not well, but we have never spent much time together so we'll have to see how that pans out. Then, we're moving onto a game farm in South Africa where people are being violently attacked and farms are being seized by the dictatorship government who decided that it's okay to change the constitution to suit their game plan.

You can't stay where you are and there are some scary possibilities going forward. I suppose saying that moving is a schlep is an understatement, but I know there are people out there in much worse situations. What are all of us doing to make the world we live in a better place? The space left to be able to outrun the bad is becoming smaller and smaller so at what point will we stop running and face the harsh facts and start doing whatever is needed to solve some of our problems and mistakes?

Who knows, in the meantime I want to keep making friends, keep evolving into the nicest person I can be and plan every step forward in a better direction including my steemit steps which are investing in my future and help my steemit community with theirs.

Have a good evening or morning
