My editor tactfully advised that on every occasion I overview an electric car, in preference to taking over an available area explaining why they'll never fulfill more than a small fraction of our private transportation desires, I need to summarize the information into a separate column to which I will then refer readers who want to understand the fact.
Volkswagen Group, Europe's largest automaker, has announced a new sales target: one million electrified vehicles sold a year, an objective it wants to reach by 2025.
So expect to see it squarely in the "affordable electric car" bracket. There will also be a longer range, higher power version on the way later in 2018.
