  • house edge.
  1. the house takes a percentage of every bet. OR treats your bet with worse odds to cover the house edge
  2. house edge if you haven't done the math yet or maybe it hasn't clicked with you number one in the house edge category will mean that eventually probability DEMANDS that you must lose.
  3. from a scientific standpoint probability does not support you ever truly winning. and when you do win. it will be less than what you put in.
  4. even from an esoteric standpoint it doesn't matter how much you pray, visualize, or reality-bend. all those techniques will eventually fail because of karmic interference, other entities, or just plain probability.
  • common fallacies used by casinos or realted to gambling
      • confirmation bias and
      • the bandwagon effect

(ive combined these two)
everywhere you gamble you will find other gamblers who think like you do .a positive set of gamblers will say you'll hit a good streak they say or i'll win next time. this will never happen. you will NEVER win next time. it doesn't matter how much you agree with them you will always lose.
a negative set of gamblers , who i like to call the realists even if they sound pessimistic will say: oh that was a bad streak maybe next time. or crud! i just lost, next time i hope i win.
NOW the second set has an even worse chance of winning due to the fact they are visualizing losing. you will end up gravitating to one of these groups. and if all these people gamble how could they be wrong. THEY ARE WRONG!

    • gamblers fallacy

we as humans like to weigh previous outcomes to find a pattern... but inherently there is no pattern in gambling or its so complex there is no hope of finding it. also in digital casinos... no matter how good you are at thinking the computer will always think faster.

    • post purchase rationalization

human beings, ever since the beginning of bartering. like to convince ourselves we made a good deal. its how we stay sane and cooperate- the negative effect in gambling however is that we will continue to come back because we have convinced ourselves that it wasnt a bad idea to start gambling in the first place... rather than accept the truth.

now rather than beat yourself up. stop gambling. put down those cards... and move forward.
