Today I wanted to report that Epic Health Gems have been found! Those of you in MetaRobots will see this for yourself in the Public Shoutbox next time you're visiting our metaverse. As you can see, these Epic Health Gems will be Super Helpful when fighting the Boss Battle of SalMerc's Level 6 Battle Cards!
I'll copy the text in here, just for the record.
Kenny: EPIC Health Gems have been found!!! The merchant in GM World is selling them for GMs to try first. I just bought some and finally beat Sal6!
Kenny: So the plan was for Epic Health Gems to be only available via crafting. And there would be a very limited number of crafting programs for them. And whoever got a crafting program could craft and sell them.
Kenny: But the code for characters to sell items via the Mercs isn't quite done yet. SO I may set up EdMerc or SalMerc with a very few Epic Health Gems for a fairly high price. Stay tuned. But save up some VOLTs if interested!
Kenny: What does a Epic Health Gem give your Battle card? A minimum of 6 extra health OR a 50% Health boost if you already have 14 or more Health. And they Do Stack, so you could add 4 to a Legendary!
Kenny: Example - you have a Legendary card with 20 Health. Add an Epic Health Gem and your Health is 30. Add another and it is 45. Add another and it is 68. Add a fourth and it is 102!!!!!

What is the Battle Card Game?
It is a kind of #splinterlands lite trading card game on a currently private alpha test metaverse with about a dozen people who have access.
The cards are sold in 5 card packs and there are commons, rares, epics and Legendarys. There are melee, range and magic cards. You can combine any 2 cards of the same type, rarity and level to produce a better card.
There are 4 stats: Health, Armor, Speed and Attack. No Mana.
No class/schools either, and no summoners. Currently its 3v3 cards against NPCs that have 6 levels of cards available to battle. Winning gets you XP and VOLTs. There is a fee in VOLTs to battle.
What are VOLTs?
VOLTs are the in-game currency. It's a robot metaverse, so yeah.
1000 VOLTs are the same as 1 HBD. You can swap 1 HBD for 1000 VOLTs or swap 1000 VOLTs for 1 HBD.
That is the only connection to the HIVE blockchain so far. The data for the metaverse is stored in a regular database on a server. It could easily be stored on HIVE but that doesn't add anything unless it is also decentralized with witnesses running nodes much like how hive-engine works, and of course Hive itself.
What Are Gems?
So Gems are items you can buy or craft. If you have them in your storage bay then you can add them to Battle Cards to improve its stats in the process or selecting your 3 cards for the battle. A common card has one Gem slot. Rare has 2 Gem slots. Epic has 3 and Legendary has 4!
Currently we have common health, attack and speed Gems. And Rare health, attack and speed Gems. Now we Just Added Epic Health Gems! But regular players can't get them quite yet. Only GMs can buy them in our private GM World. This is what we do to test new things.
What are Gem Battles?
This is the last new thing we introduced a few days ago so I might as well talk about it here.
When you select the Battle Level and then select your cards and then affix Gems, you can choose Battle or Gem Battle. If you choose Gem Battle, then the NPC/Merc will randomly add between 1 and 3 Gems to randomly selected cards he is playing, with no more than 1 Gem per card. He may use a common health, speed or attack Gem. Again, just one per card and also only one of each. So he won't use 3 attack gems for example.
IF you WIN the battle, then you get Double XP!
