Allonia
Recently the pace of game development has slowed down to almost a stand still. I have not real excuse for that beyond time being more and more precious and money becomes tighter. Of course personal issues aren't why you came to this post, and I have no intention of dragging out this post. Above and below are two shots from a small diversion that I needed to continue working on the larger more complex project. This is kind of a playground for the bots and possibly the opening act of the narrative part of the game. Though barren and rather simple at the moment Allonia will be a fun mix of the ordinary and extraordinary once completed.
Along with what you can see the stuff you can't may be more important. Each bot is now equipped with settings that are coded into the parts themselves (not as impressive as it sounds) so now when I load the scene with a different bot I can explore ways of make them each feel unique without breaking the game for one or more of them. This is a big deal for the future but it also ads even more tweaking
Blockchain
So as I have probably mentioned here...maybe... Allonian Seed is to become much more dapp like in the future as I continue to work on the API that integrates this game into the chain. I also have plans to create both an API and a service to allow other game developers easy access to the chain and the possibilities of creating cloud like services without having to handle the development and the server load by themselves. That will be in another post shortly following this one.
Community Project?
I'm starting to realize that though I have certain goals for this game, I also want it to become a thing before I die, so I'm asking you, the greater STEEM community to help me realize Allonian Seed. This is only one of many projects, my largest and most ambitious, so if you are willing to help, if you have ideas on how I can go from making this a "when I have time" thing to a game that will rival games that are hitherto not found on STEEM or any other chain. I'm all ears. If you are a fledgling game developer and wanting to start out. You're welcome here. If you're a veteran looking for a new project to help out on. You're welcome here. If you have interest breaking STEEM out of just online only web based games. YOU are welcome here.
