Tyrion Lannister leaves the Wall and, having traveled to Winterfell, gives to Bran a drawing of a special saddle with which the boy can ride a horse. Ned Stark begins an investigation into the death of previous right hand of king, but does it directly, clumsily, everyone sees everything. Littlefinger gives him some life advice at court, but Ned ignores them. Because of this, the Lannisters begin to sweep the tracks, arranging «accidental» deaths. But he finds a bastard of King Robert, who works in the smithy. Viserys Targarien tells the story of the dragons, and now it becomes clear that in this world there are several races, similar in appearance, but of different origins, and the dragon's blood flows in Targariens, so they were the kings of Westeros from ancient times. And Deyeneris, meanwhile, rebelled and told her brother that he would not dare touch her any more, since she is the Khalisi of the Dothraqis. To the Night Watch comes a strange fat, cowardly little man, and John Snow takes him under his wing. And the lord, the commander of the Night Watch, tells them about the horrors of the outside world and about how they ate the fallen horses and their dead companions. Lady Catelyn, returning home, meets in a tavern with Tyrion Lannister and with the help of her husband's vassals takes him under arrest.

Ned Stark shows himself to be an absolutely simple, straightforward warrior who is alien to the intrigues of the royal court. But Lannisters, it seems, in this art is very successful — they have many spies and secret performers of dirty deeds. But most of all, it seems, succeeded in intriguing Petyr Baelish, nicknamed Littlefinger. He began to weave an incomprehensible web, luring Stark's daughters into it. In the series introduced a few new characters, the role of which is not yet very clear, but you need to follow closely.
