do you know what happened with nobuo uematsu? his music is the best gamemusic that I know.. the melodies are beautiful and remain in my brain even after years, and set me back into the feeling of the story at that specific point when you've heard the song for the very first time.
but he seems to be gone, all newer FFs are without uematsu-songs :( can't find any specific statement for this..
