That could work as a small minigame! But it could also work like a normal game where you could exchange the tokens you win on the leaderboard for upvotes instead of sharing profit.
I play GemCraft - Frostborn Waith, on steam. I don't get anything out of that :D
Same with Idlemonsters on my phone, no profit for playing that.
Its just a Hive Mindset that we have to make something from the games we play :D
Yes totally however that requires a lot more work but I could plug something like that into Rising Star and use the existing reward system. Would be quite funny too!

I did talk about the game as a stand alone and not intergrated into risingstar, but both works :D
