Thanks for this fun and insightful article. The TurboGrafx was ahead of its time. I really thought it would become more popular than it did. Legendary Axe, for example, was a masterpiece.

it was my favorite system at the time, but for some reason it just didn't catch on in the US or Europe. I suppose Nintendo and Sega were just too entrenched at that point. They didn't even try to compete with NEC because it wasn't necessary
