Shadow Of The Colossus; This game will always be an all time classic.I decided to write about it since the beautiful remaster just came out a few days ago & I'm playing it once again.I say what defines this game is the loneliness to it all.
There's hardly any dialogue in it & it's just you, the Wanderer in the Wastelands with your horse Agro.Your lover has died & you bring her to this temple in the forbidden lands.In an attempt to bring her back, you begin a quest to slay the 16 Colossi that're scattered over the place.
Each Colossi poses their own challenge as some have weapons, or how there's some that can fly or swim.Their surroundings also play a big role as well as some can benefit you while others can give you a harder time.
What's crazier about this game is its' ability to give emotions behind it when there's nothing even said.After you slay a Colossi, you kinda feel like a dick about it & somewhat selfish.I mean think about it.You're coming into these forbidden Wastelands where they reside & stay to theirselves & killing all these unique creatures just to bring back one girl.
Also, the game has some of the most dramatic music ever! It really sets the pace & intensity of the action along with the emotion.After you kill a Colossi, expect a slow motion scene of the monster crashing into the Earth & its' spirit literally leaving its' body.Their spirits pretty much impale you & knock you out cold.Then you always awake back at the temple...with another one surrounding you each time.
The games' area is empty, yet full of beauty.It ranges from deserts, to forests & beaches/lakesides.You gotta shine your sword with the sun to create a lightbeam that'll guide you to the next Colossi along with using it to expose their weaknesses.
This story is a crazy one full of adventure, action & sadness.I won't spoil the ending even if this game has been out for 13 years haha.But just know, the ending is an unforgettable one.If you've never played it, what're you doing with your life?

Cool game, kind reminds me of the newer Castlevania games. By the way, I was just reading how the ps4 was cracked like the xbox 360. Not that I condone that sort of thing, but just sayin ;-)
It is a really good game. I've heard the new game looks way better than the old one. ☆☆☆☆
