This is a quick and dirty guide on how to get fast points on PUBG.
I have been doing this method for about 1 month now, and it works very well. I have easily made over $150 in steam credit just selling crates.
You must already own the game on steam.
Now most people play the game normally. Parachute in, find a weapon - try to find other players. Maybe get a kill or two in before getting killed themselves. Even if you hide and try to make top 10 unless you get a lot of kills the points reward isn't that great.
You need a lot of points to get a crate. You must have your steam account validated enough that you can sell items as well. (if you have never sold an item on steam there is a 2 week waiting period after you jump through their hoops before you can sell. after that there is no wait time to sell.)
So what I've been doing, I call afk farming.
Ride the plane to the end - don't parachute out. It will automatically kick everyone out that hasn't already parachuted at this time. Don't do anything. Pretend you are afk. When your parachute opens, look around to see how many other "afk" parachutes are near you. Some games it's only 1 or 2 people. Other games it can be literally dozens of people.
If everyone lands in water, look for a nearby boat. If there isn't one you can grab close by, just dive under and wait to drown and try again.
If you are on land, run to the closest afk person and punch kill them. Repeat to all the other afkers. My personal record is 24 afk kills in one game before the 25th person woke up and killed me ^_^ That was over 1000 points for a couple minutes work!
Most games you can expect 3-5 kills before either being killed, or running off to kill yourself to repeat this process.
I find it pretty easy to farm 1k - 2k points in game per hour, depending on my personal level of attention. Even if you don't kill anyone you still earn ~30+ points which is better then nothing.
Also if you kill all the afk's and happen to be near some good loot, its also fun to play the game normally from there. I have made top 10 multiple times after killing a dozen afk's.
A nice side effect of this method is it gives you a positive kill/death ratio.
So sell those crates, earn some steam credit and expand your library with very little effort and no real life money aside from the initial PUBG purchase!
