PlayerUnknown's Battleground - Puts Me On Edge In A Good Way (gameplay)

in #gaming7 years ago (edited)

For a few months now I've had friends constantly telling me to try out PlayerUnknown's Battleground. At the time I was overloaded with studying and just happy to wait for the release of Rising Storm 2. With the Steam summer sale arriving, I figured I'd give PUBG another look to see if it was on sale. It wasn't, but it's price is relatively reasonable without a discount($29.99USD). So, I pushed that button and gave her a whirl. IT WAS THRILLING!!! This game constantly and consistently keeps me on edge in such a great way! Having to maintain as much awareness as you can muster, and then pulling the trigger at the right moment or maybe the wrong one; who cares, they both wind up either being fun or funny. I can't wait to play a few rounds in duo or squad mode.

Never was a big fan of FPS. Except Doom 2 maybe! :D

Thanks! Doom 2016 is still good fun. I think they did a great job of keeping the simple play style while adding more visual depth and content.

game is super tight!

PUBG has been top of my playlist lately as well! I find myself fitting a random drop in whenever I can throughout the day and am always begging for more! Great video man SteemON!

Thanks! PUBG has got me feeling the same way. Before playing it, I was under the impression that matches would take longer but its not that bad at all. Typically less than 20 min. It's addicting! Seriously, it gets my adrenaline pumping; It's hard to fight the rush lol!

Glad so many people are enjoying it! Makes for a fun community and as always SteemOn!

Love this game, I probably play it daily lol. 10/10 would recommend

Okay, I'm not gonna lie. Every year I hear about "the new" online, big, FPS shooter that is a "must have" whether it's been Destiny, Battleground, Black Ops, all the way back to OrangeBox, and more. I have been pretty consistently avoiding them, because Halo has always satisfied my addictive needs, and I feel like the people who latch onto these other titles refuse to give tribute and long term commitment to the series which started it all. They say things like, "Halo is for newbs" or "you can't be clutch in Halo" or "Grenade spam" but to me it has always been the best all around title series, and I do say that with bias, as I have a lot of childhood memories wasting hours away on the first three with my friends. But hey, this is not a Halo conversation, this game looks pretty cool with the GTA vibe! And I might check it out one day! Thanks for sharing!

You're welcome! Especially considering the current price of PUBG is half of what a AAA title would cost, I think its worth it. I know exactly what you mean in regards to being burned by "must have" games. I held out on buying PUBG for a while for that reason. Glad I bought it though. 100k players active at a minimum from what I've seen. Might be the most popular game I've ever played. Aside from Halo

Haha such a great vid! I need to get this game so bad. Please keep the content coming! Thanks :D

When you get it, add me on Steam (http://steamcommunity.com/id/AdHocToth/) and we'll tackle some duo or squad matches!

Nice, I also play sometimes PUBG. I really like it but I haven't won yet :C

I haven't won that chicken dinner yet either. We will someday... We will someday... In the mean times, it's still fun as hell to try :)

Great game. For some years I was working on something similar in Unreal. Seems they beat me too it XD
You can check out one of my posts for a dev diary on what we were working on if you're interested!

I was trying to wrap my head around developing in Unreal before I had to buckle down to study for the bar exam. So, I'm very interested lol! Thanks!
