TOP 3: "FAR CRY" GAMES

in #gaming6 years ago

I don't know if you know but I have to admit that I'm a big fan of the Far Cry series. I have always liked fps games, but none of them gave me so much fun and joy as the FC series. These games have something that makes a person spend tens of hours with them and having fun. Today I will present to you my subjective list of the three best "Far Cry" games.

THIRD PLACE: FAR CRY (8/10)

It all started in 2004 when Crytek and Ubisoft created the first Far Cry. The game was released on the modern Cry Engine engine and was a revolution in the world of FPS. No wonder it was announced one of the best games of 2004.

This game was very demanding for computers 14 years ago. Believe it or not, but at that time the graphics were simply brilliant - the original CryEngine engine allowed the game to display very large tracts of land using high textures. The physics of bodies and vehicles that were then very realistic at the time deserves a gold medal. Apart from the technical aspects, Far Cry was just a beautiful game and I do not say that because I am a fan, but because 2004 was not very technologically advanced and people were very satisfied with the graphics and the possibilities.

Story is very average and predictable - we play as Jack Carver who decides to go on a "deserted" island with a journalist. During the journey, he is attacked by a group of mercenaries who kidnap this girl. As a war veteran, Jack knows how to use weapons and uses them whenever possible. In the further part of the game, it turns out that the mercenaries will not be the only opponents of Carver.

As for the mechanisms used in the game - there are quite a lot of them. We had at our disposal (iconic already, is in every part) a camera with which we could mark enemies. The arsenal of weapons was medium. As a curiosity, I have to say that with a little skill, the whole game could be passed with one weapon, although sometimes it was nice to move from a machine gun to an RPG and send opponents into space. We could also drive a car, swim in a boat, and shoot at roadside LKMs.

In the matter of the world, it was large and somewhat open. The game was divided into 20 missions, and almost every mission works in a different environment.

Far Cry made a great impression on me. A nice world, lots of enemies, juicy shooting, beautiful graphics and quite addictive plot made it very pleasant to play.

SECOND PLACE: FAR CRY 5 (9,5/10)

Far Cry 5 aroused positive emotions among players from around the world.

The main story in FC5 is interesting and addictive. Play as a nameless character (we can choose a woman or a man), which everyone calls "Substitute." Along with the sheriff and several companions, we are going to a small village in Montana to investigate what the alleged sect is about. After getting the helicopter to the place, we meet the charismatic Joseph Seed'a or the leader of worship. Things get out of control and as a result we get caught up in the fight between the resistance movement and the "Eden Gates" cult.

At first glance, the FC5 mechanic is reminiscent of Far Cry 4, but when we play a few hours we can realize that we are dealing with evolution. Many elements have been corrected - bullet trajectories have been changed, for example: if we want to shoot an opponent from a distance of 200 meters, we must set properly and aim a little above the target, taking into account that the opponent can move. Like a small change but shooting the opponent's head after something like that is much more pleasant.

In the new FC5, I like the change in character development. By doing different challenges, we get talents that we exchange later for various skills. Also crafting has disappeared and I'm happy because doing quests like "hunt two sharks, make a wallet of them, and then five tigers to make an even bigger wallet" with time it was boring.

Montana has been beautifully reproduced and I say it whenever and wherever someone only asks about FC5. The world is very lively and gives a lot of fun, there is some side mission or other activity at every turn.

I'm saddened by the fact that car physics and (especially) airplanes are simply poor. When getting into the vehicle, we feel like we're riding a cardboard box with the engine, and I will not even mention the buzzers. I'm also pissed off by the fact that boss battles are a bit boring. You need to get a given number of resistance points, we fire up cutscene, defeat the boss, destroy his bunker, end. And so in three cases. Seriously, it could have been done better.

In my opinion, FC5 is a very good game despite some stupid solutions.

FIRST PLACE: FAR CRY 3 (10/10)

Oh God, it was a brilliant game ... no one is surprised that Far Cry 3 was in my first place. It is a complete fps, not needing any improvements.

The game came out in 2012 and scored very good marks. Many magazine magazines have called it "the best CD in history."

A little about the story. You play the role of Jason Broody who goes to paradise islands with a girl, brothers and friends. However, he quickly regrets this because he is captured by mercenaries commanded by best antagonist ever- Vaas. When escaping from the main antagonist camp, we are found by Dennis who is the leader of the Rakyat tribe. It shows us how to survive on the island and at the same time helps us to find friends.

Earlier I mentioned Vaas Montenegro. In my opinion, it is one of the best antagonists in games. Ubisoft did a good job hiring Michael Mando, who played the above-mentioned cruel man.

The soundtrack in the game is also great and well-matched. I remember the mission in which we burned marijuana plants with a flame thrower, and in the background there was a mix of reggae and dubstep - something beautiful. Far Cry 3 shows that the music played at the right moment is willing to evoke big emotions.

When it comes to mechanics - it is a guideline for mechanics in FC4, FC Primal and FC5, which does not surprise me because it is timeless and easy to grasp. Collecting skins to perform various items and picking plants for brewing potions (unfortunately, there are less of them than in The Witcher: P) make crafting pleasant. Shooting also is very good !

As in any Far Cry, here the world stands at the highest level. We can visit in various ways, by boat and by car or on foot.

And here is Far Cry 3- beautiful, timeless, well-designed, setting new trends in the fps category. As for me 10/10

DID I EVER TELL YOU A DEFINITION... OF INSANITY ?
