I've finally hit level 42! It's taken me a really long time. Mostly because I just kept postponing evolving Pokémon with items xD The weekend before Rayquaza Raid Weekend, I evolved Eevee to Glaceon and Leafeon as the last part of the Evolve Eevee into all its types requirement for level 42. I wrote a little bit about these evolutions with a blog post then already. As I evolved a Flower Crown Eevee into both of the Eeveelutions, I decided it would be great to take some AR photos with them. That way I could use those as thumbnail for this post!
There were still several Pokémon from the Sinnoh region that I hadn't registered in my Pokédex yet and require a Sinnoh Stone to evolve. For a number of these I already had some Shiny Pokémon, more specifically Shiny Murkrow, Shiny Misdreavus, Shiny Tangela and Shiny Yanma. I decided to evolve all 4 of these to get Shiny Honchcrow, Shiny Mismagius, Shiny Tangrowth and Shiny Yanmega Pokédex registries.
After evolving these and getting their Pokédex registries, I also evolved a Lucky of all 4 of these. So that I could have them all Lucky in the Pokédex as well. In this next photo you can see the stats for the Shinies that I evolved and see the stats for the Lucky ones as well.
There were two more Pokémon that I could get a new Pokédex registry for. These are Dusknoir and Gliscor. As I do not have a Shiny for Duskull, Dusclops nor Gligar, I couldn't possibly evolve them as Shiny yet for their Pokédex registries. Which is why I decided to just evolve a Lucky that I had kept for both of them. That way I'd at least get them Lucky in the Pokédex already. Sadly they seem to be showing up really high on the screen during their Pokédex registry, so they were getting partially cut off.
I wanted to evolve a Lickitung as well, but unfortunately I've never gotten a Lucky Lickitung yet. I do however already have Lickilicky in the Pokédex, so it wouldn't have been a new Pokédex registry anyway. I did also evolve a Shiny Aipom. I already had Ambipom Lucky in the Pokédex, but not Shiny so I decided to evolve it.
After doing these evolves I finally completed the last requirement for level 42. Here you can see that I levelled up.
Now that I'm finally level 42, I can "work" on the level 43 requirements.
As you can see, these requirements don't require much work for me personally. They'll happen automatically by catching and battling. I'll be getting the Stardust from catching Pokémon, maybe some as rewards from GO Battle League and also some through winning Raids. The super effective Charged Attacks will be going up from doing Raids, battling in Gyms and perhaps some GO Battle League. Catching 5 Legendary Pokémon is one that I already completed at the time of writing, as I caught them during Raid Hour today. The last objective was immediately completed, as it requires you to obtain 5 Platinum Medals, which I already have.
It seems that I'll be hitting level 43 quite fast, as soon as I've collected the Stardust and used enough Charged Attacks I'll be levelling up.
