Welcome back steemers to Diorama’s blog! Today we’ll have a look at HITMAN GO the popular iOS and Android based HITMAN game. I used to play HITMAN 2 when I was young and when I saw HITMAN GO on the App Store I was puzzled. I reviewed for a while whether to buy the game or not. And I’ll tell you what - its worth every penny.
If you aren’t familiar with HITMAN GO its not a violent action based RPG game like the PC games. Well its violent but its a board game to be correct. Yes, you read it right HITMAN GO is SQUARE ENIX’s take on reimagining the absolutely fantastic game of HITMAN on mobile platform. Its a puzzle and board game completely designed on UNITY game engine.
Gameplay
First things first, the game is broken into levels. Just like in typical HITMAN missions, the mission is to either kill the target or go to a particular spot. And its a turn-based game, you take one step everyone else in the game takes one step in that turn. There are guards guarding the lanes and spots. Well in order to bypass the guards to reach the target you need the correct timing or be able to kill the guard or there are even distraction items which distract the guard away from our man HITMAN.
Some missions require you to kill all enemies for a bonus star while some require you to not kill an enemy at all. Its all about timing the steps and wherever HITMAN is there its all about staying one step ahead than the enemies. The game is not that hard to progress as well its not too easy either. It has the right pace to keep the player motivated and thats the quality of a very good game.
Graphics
You cannot play a game if graphics are bad and one of the things HITMAN GO excels in is its graphics. The textures, the patterns, the effects - you get that realistic feel that you’re playing a board game the way the characters move and get toppled off. Its like playing with a little diorama.
The characters too feel like plastic models and the right amount of lighting that makes shadows appear correct. Its all perfect what SQUARE ENIX have done with the UNITY engine in making the graphics a number one selling point of this game.
Conclusion
This game is not free. And that alone makes people think if they buy it. Well its the best game you can ever buy on a mobile phone because its worth every bit. HITMAN GO is absolutely fantastic satisfying game. The gameplay is deep and tactical enough to keep the player engaging and the graphics are marvellous. To say it one final time HITMAN GO is one hell of a cracker!!!
