Ghost Recon Wildlands Year 2 Content Revealed

in #gaming6 years ago (edited)

Ubisoft has announced that Ghost Recon Wildlands second season of updates will be available from April 10.

In a forum post on Ubisoft's website, the publisher detailed the second year of post-launch content for Ghost Recon Wildlands, both for the main campaign and the Ghost War PvP mode.

"In the coming months, four major updates - titled Special Operations - will be released for free, with each themed update adding new missions, items, rewards, and community-requested features."

Launching on April 10, Special Operations will be adding a campaign mission and challenge, which will provide players who complete them with exclusive rewards. Alongside the campaign content, the second season of updates will also introduce a new PvP game mode, Sabotage.

The Sabotage game mode tasks players with capturing and holding an objective before a timer runs out, while the opposing team must stop them from capturing these objectives. The new PvP mode will include five exclusive maps, a new class and perks. The final piece of content provides the ability to customise your AI teammates in the campaign mode. Players can give their AI teammates the clothing they have unlocked for their own character, which will make them look absolutely fabulous. Someone better make their team look like the Reservoir Dogs.

Though the updates are free, the forum post also detailed the content provided within the Year 2 pass, which grants the player with seven-day early access to the new Ghost War classes for an additional cost. Besides providing early access to content, the Year 2 pass will also include, "a customisation pack, four Special Ops crates, and four Ghost War crates." These crates will provide the in-game character with more customisation options for the campaign mode and Ghost War.

The second season of updates for Ghost Recon Wildlands will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from April 10.
