How Fast I Reached The Champion

Without hard work, nothing grows but weeds.

Hello splinterlanders,

I hope you're having a good time with your session end rewards. I'd like to share my journey to becoming a champion.

I started playing Splinterlands around the end of July. My sole knowledge of the game came from a YouTube video. I didn't know what abilities, speed, or mana were, so I just picked a random card in the battle. It still makes me laugh when I think about it. It took me a few days to get into reading the whitepaper, but once I did I was able to push it without ever renting the card! However, I had no idea where the cards were.

One of the NFT projects I followed brought me a close friend in the meantime. Splinterland is a voyage he takes me on, and he does it in decent shape. Their community members find him to be a very kind and friendly individual (MisterRKO).

He shouted Take Cornelius take take take as he was watching my combat. I didn't understand why he said constantly, Cornelius. It seemed like I was always losing, and I had no idea why. That's when he pointed out that I'd made a serious mistake in the battle and didn't know which card was rented.

In a short period of time, I was able to gather more information and play the game. His community discord URL is included here.

With the support of a wonderful friend, I was able to play the game in a really nice way. Within one day of my second week, I had earned a diamond, thanks to the one technique MAX LEVEL CARD = MORE OPPORTUNITY. When I played the game, I was able to get the highest-level cards every single time. However, I didn't have enough time to push myself to champion in the first session of August.

MisterRKO, a dear friend of mine, tells me to read every card's ability and bring as many buffs as possible into the battle. Be sure to read the combat rules. There were instances when I didn't see the laws of the battle.

As a rule, we play the game for one day and then rest for two. As a result, every two days after our play day, we delve into the rental market and rent as many inexpensive and decent cards as we can afford to pay for.

What should you keep in mind while you strive to become a champion?

  • Be sure to bring your best cards to the battle (MAX LEVEL)
  • A winning streak is a good thing to have
  • If you're on a losing run, you're going to take a break for a time and then come back later.
  • Predict what the opponent's deck is and devise a good strategy
  • Don't rent cards that you don't intend to use.

A few of my favourite cards are always kept with me:
Elven Cutthroat, Enchanted Pixie, Ooze, Chicken, Chain golem, Gelatinous Cube.

In a future article, I'll go over more specific tips and tricks.
