It seems we have not heard from Square Enix Montreal, the developer behind the GO series on iOS. Just a little reminder that there are 3 games included in the GO series, namely Lara Croft GO, Hitman GO, and Deus Ex GO. The three titles above are including games that successfully attract many fans even though not presented in the form of freemium games.
This news is of course shocking as well as disappointing many fans of the series. Two main causes of disappointment. First because they no longer continue this GO series, which means GO series will stop up on Deus Ex only. And secondly, because there are rumors saying that Just Cause and Life is Strange will be made his GO series. Now that hope is gone when Patrick Naud-head of studio from Square Enix Montreal-confirmed that they have not continued the GO series.
He said that the hardest thing for developers is to use premium titles on the mobile market. In the paid business model, although it can be said that the game is quite successful, but the facts on the ground say something else. The game is not played by many people, lost to other titles that are sold for free and there is an in-app purchase in it.
Although this series has definitely GO dead, they still want to give a mobile game that has good quality. This can be realized by finding a new way to market past titles with a new menkanisme. As to what the realization is, we ourselves do not know yet, but I think we can wait for the game date in the future what else game will be presented by Square Enix Montreal.
