in #gaming7 years ago

Tencent sets up a rule against addiction and limits the playing time.

According to a report by the ECNS, Chinese parents have been worried for some time about the number of hours their children spend playing Tencent games such as King of Glory, one of the most Popular in China. The Dot Esports website report that the latest study by the University of Hong Kong reveals that more than one in ten pupils in primary school is already showing signs of addiction to video games.

As a result, Tencent has put in place certain measures to curb this dependence. Under the new rules, children under the age of 12 will not be able to play King of Glory for more than one hour per day and will not be able to play after 9pm. Children over 12 years old can play a maximum of 2 hours per day.
