I think during the NFT Meta, GU having trading cards as an NFT had the potential to go big.
IMX gutted the GU team to focus on being the WEB3 Steam.
With regards to NFT:
CryptoPunks the OG seems to be the Bitcoin of NFTs
BAYC grew big with Celebrity Endorsements and fell off.
Pudgy Penguins made a genuine attempt December 2024 to bring NFTs main stream. Some of GU former content creators went to Pudgy Penguin's TCG (Vibes)
Currently, the greatest utility for NFTs is what Collector Crypt (Solana) is doing by digitalising Pokemon Cards for Trading Online and being able to redeem authenticated cards in a secure and transparent way.
In terms of gaming token, I think that an online casino where profits are used to buy back tokens create the most value - Rollbit (ETH).
