It is possible, that you have never heard of this game before and you will not in the future. However I think it a shame, that a good new games can die so easily these days.
What is LawBreakers
In short, it is hero-based first person arena shooter. Everytime you see „hero-based“ people automatically think that it is an Overwarch clone. In my opinion only few games are really original, and certainly not A-titles, every game is combination of 2-3 games. However this „problem“ is everywhere, for example books, movies, cars, etc..
Free-to-Play
It was originally announced like F2P game, but they changed their mind. It came out with a 30$ price tag. What is worse, it came out in the middle of summer. When everyone is out there, doing real-life things. Publishers keep their AAA games away from the summer months for a reason.
Is it fun?
I played the beta and i was supriced, because it is not a bad game. Gameplay is quite fun and really, really fast-paced and i liked it. However map design is not as good as it should be and heroes are unique, but without personality and that is really important thing in this genre.
Is it dead?
When you look at this Steam Chart, you can see how bad it is. You can see what bad marketing and bad release time can do. Maybe, they will make it free-to-play, but i do not think it will help, look at Evolve or Battleborn.

Game seems interesting, but it is the same concept as overwatch which was the same concept as a Team Fortress. I guess everything today is a copy paste from something, this game looks cool though.
Exactly! If it is not 100% copy and done well, it can be really good. However it is shame, that this game had so bad marketing..
