A Personal Goodbye to Visceral Games [Video Essay]

in #gaming6 years ago (edited)

This is my first post in the steem.it and d.tube communities. I originally started making videos for YouTube in 2016, but I have found the platform isn't fully meeting the needs of my community that I am trying to build. I think Steem.it and D.Tube may be the place where I really can build that community.

For my first video I wanted to feature a topic that I am particularly passionate about, the loss of one of the great game studios: Visceral Games.

I will miss this studio!

I originally had no intent to make a video on this subject and then the disappointing news of their studio being closed by EA kept eating at me. All of there games that I enjoyed kept entering my head and I couldn't stop thinking about them. I felt like I couldn't be the only one who enjoyed a game from this talented studio so I made this as a way for me to share some of their great games that I will continue to hold with me.

Thanks for watching!

Hi Joel, welcome to the platform. I think you'll find a lot of opportunities to grow your online presence with both DTube and DLive. I've tried both and personally have had a better response/experience with DLive, but both platforms are great! I think a great example on DTube is @bethwheatcraft though her content isn't about gaming, she does a very good job of creating consistent quality content and promoting the DTube platforms. The platforms are craving new quality content, and the steemit community overall is fantastic. I'm looking forward to following some of your gaming coverage. Are you a dev too or primarily a gamer? Welcome sir 😎I look forward to seeing your posts.

Thanks, @brandonsadventur.

I am primarily a game appreciator with a particular interest in finding the best in games, rather than just tearing them down, which is where the "alternative" part of my screen name comes in. I like to think I can offer a different perspective than the mainstream games media. I don't currently do any live streaming but I will definitely look into it.
