8 of The Most Anticipated Games Announced At E3 2017

in #gaming7 years ago

Gamers around the world can count on E3 to bring goodies in the form of new games, sequels and new consoles every year like clockwork. But the press coverage and live streams can be boring and long, so I've compiled a list of the most exciting games announced in no particular order.

  • The Evil Within 2

Developer Tango Gameworks is bringing back their hit horror game for a second round. Coming this October to PS4, Xbox One and PC, unsurprisingly being released on a Friday the 13th. The graphics look stunning and the game play has the nightmare fuel. What more can you ask for?

  • Kirby

The pink ball of cuteness is making his way to the Switch! Nintendo announced Kirby, a side-scrolling platformer, for their newest console. He's sure to make a splash among kids and adults alike.

  • Metro Exodus

Metro Exodus is a gritty, first-person survival and stealth game coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC as the newest game in this post- apocalyptic series. Enjoy fighting your way across a sandbox Russian land, crafting weapons and killing mutant animals and gangs when the game releases in 2018.

  • Call of Duty WW2

Piggybacking on the success of Battlefield 1, publisher Activision will release the newest game in the undying COD series this November. While the game was announced before E3 I included it in this list for the reveal of its multiplayer features at E3, including new social headquarters, divisions, and more excitingly a return to “boots on the ground” warfare.

  • Marvel’s Spider-Man

While this was announced last year at E3 I had to include it since they released a official game play trailer. Set to release sometime in 2018, Sony is taking on backlash for publishing a game that can be considered a rip-off of the Batman Arkham games. As a fan of DC Comics I personally don’t care, but I’m curious to see what everyone’s opinions on this are.

  • Life is Strange: Before the Storm

Before I start on this one, what exactly are these games? The game Life is Strange was overwhelmingly popular with its release, Deck Nine Games created a prequel to it! Coming to Xbox One, Ps4 and PC in what appears to be an episode like format, with the first releasing on August 31st, get ready for drama and family secrets in Before the Storm.

  • The Crew 2

Hold onto your buns, Grand Theft Auto V, The Crew series is back with an open world car racing game. Ubisoft boasts of its exhilarating, free roam new world full of motorsports from water to sky to the city streets. The graphics look amazing and the promise of competition has us all getting ready to race in 2018.

  • Assassin’s Creed: Origins

Have you ever wanted to roam the Egyptian landscape, murdering dudes and hunting animals as you go? I have too. This is why I’m overjoyed at the official reveal of Assassin’s Creed: Origins! Ubisoft says it’ll feature a few differences in game play compared to previous games in the series, with a lack of tall buildings and a return to tomb raiding and naval combat. Sign me up for this one!

What games are you looking forward to?

Sort:

Such a list without Anthem and Super Mario Odyssee? Who made this list?

I made it! These are just the few that are most hyped about, the actual list of games includes many more.

Yes! Anthem would be great as a sort of open world Warframe with better co-op and more gun variety. Also, the new Metro game made me wet my pants.

Hmmm... Life Is Strange looks interesting :)
