Wu Zhenguo, head of the Chinese antitrust office, has confirmed that they have very clear evidence that could result in fines for each manufacturer of between 800 and 8000 million dollars according to sales between 2016 and 2017.
It was speculated that Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron manipulated the market to undercut high prices, and delayed the expansion of capabilities to coincide with the arrival of Chinese-made DRAM, something that could collapse the market and leave Chinese manufacturers without benefits. . With this kind of practices, the first Chinese manufacturers could be stamped, leaving the three main producers undefeated again. On the other hand, it is said that the Chinese government could be focusing on Micron, given that it is an American company, given the context of the trade war between the two countries. On the American side there are complaints of technology theft by Chinese companies.
