It's half-finished. Just hard to stay motivated to write 5,000 words for two dollars. It shouldn't be about that, but partially it is.
What has an effect is all the other stuff that's heavily rewarded. It's just such a big fuck you that eats away at my motivation.

Isn't there some other place you can post your chapters? Maybe you'd get no dollars, but more readers and commenters, and you don't need the two dollars anyway.
Or, you could power up and create a big wallet, which will lead to more and bigger upvotes for your content. That's how it works, the content itself is hardly part of the equation anymore.
Anyway, I still want to read it. It's not crap just because proper curation is circling the drain on Steemit. Can't you just mail me the chapter when you've finished it 8-)?
Oh, don't get me wrong. I'll write them and post them. I do enjoy them being read by the few.
It's just disheartening, that's all.
And if it were just the fact that big wallets get votes, I'd be okay with it. It's the people who get support for kissing the right ass that annoys me a lot more.
Ah yes, the ignoble art of sycophantry, still not a flaggable offence. I'm thinking of taking a course. That still leaves choosing the right arses to kiss, but maybe there's a list somewhere.
It will be a hard and arduous path to take, all this fakery, but it must be doable; I've seen some truly stupid people pull it off.
Or maybe just give up on Steemit as soon as the first reasonable alternative comes along.
As you can tell, I'm not exactly shouting for joy either, so there will be no cheering up from me.
But do post your chapters somewhere I can see them.
I mean, I'll post them here like normal. They just haven't been the priority I'd like for them to be.
