Hello Everyone!

I've been gone too long. Many stuff has happened over the last two years but it is good to finally sneak in a post or two. I want to try to make this into a regular thing so I'm hoping I get to find the time to write for you guys while my son is off to school. LOL

Today I wanted to share with you the latest pastime I've been playing which is Ragnarok X: Next Generation. Recently got out of Beta, it is available in the SEA regions, CN, Taiwan among others.

THE REASON WHY I PLAYED

The main reason that I played the game was all because of nostalgia. Yes back in the early 2000s, I was part of one of the biggest MMORPG to have launched in that era. Despite it competing with the newer big game MMO titles like Genshin Impact and the like, I chose to play the game simply because it was familiar to me. LOL pretty lame.

HONEST REVIEW

I am still playing right now since it launched a few months ago. I play a Female High Wizard class named after my baby.

LOL my character looks funny

Max Level characters I've seen so far in the game are Level 68s. Unlike other games in the genre, the leveling system is very slow, the dailies feel like a chore If you really want to succeed and go through everything. The weekly activities are plenty but you would only be able to do them if you get to join a guild, an active guild that is.

There are many ways to catch up to the game but at the end of it all, it is still a Pay to Win game. If you empty your bank buying Diamonds then good for you but know that there are whales willing to spend millions that would always have the upper hand.

Compare this guys M.ATK (Magic Attack) versus mine. LOL

FINAL VERDICT

I am a Free to Play player, always have and always will be. Will I continue to play the game despite being at a disadvantage? The simple answer is Yes.

• Right now, I do not have any other titles I could play as a pastime activity. I am just banking on Nostalgia to enjoy the maximum competitiveness limits as a free-to-play player.

• Will this be something I will be recommending to anyone? If Ragnarok Online is nostalgic to you and you want something that has a 3D approach to a beloved game, then why the hell not. But to play committedly, you'd have to compel your guild to spend thousands upon thousands to even compete with the rest of the whales.

• What are my current goals? I just want to get to the max level which is currently Level 80 and attempt to stand to toe to toe with the whales. Right now that has proven near impossible but this is definitely a challenge I am willing to take.
