HOLYBREAD ROADMAP - UPDATE (6/21/2020)

1st Week on HIVE
As always "hit" the upvote to support us & now you can TIP us in Brave Browser

PERFORMANCE:
We reduced image sizes & reworked some game logic.
This shows on our servers a 40% increase in response time.
We are continuing to work on these type of backend changes to make your playing experience better

Game Changes:
Breadcrumbs were removed and we moved onto HIVE this week!
Now that the HIVE migration is behind us we can move onto new things.
We are going to be reducing how players see some of the background calculations, but increasing how important items STATS & Abilities are.
So if you want to MIN/MAX or play by spreadsheet, items will become your new goto data point.

I understand not all our changes are going to be "popular" as change never is. As a team our goal is to create a more enjoyable player experience.
To that end we do take all feedback seriously.

Our servers & code are now stable and on HIVE. This is allows us to free up resources to work on game improvements at a faster pace now.
We are excited about this.

Freed up resources and player feedback is helping us revamp the roadmap. So let's jump into it.

ROADMAP:

#1 ITEM Rework / Sets
Currently there is a Hero Level required to find certain items & wear them.
We are going to be removing this. If a Level 3 Hero finds an amazing powerful item, we feel they should be able to use it to help climb the ladders in the Arena.
This change will also allow us to introduce tiers of items, Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary
Each tier of items will have new artwork so they can be quickly identified.
This also allows us to introduce item sets with abilities not just stats.
HIGH PRIORITY !!! ACTIVE RESOURCES ASSIGNED

#2 Combat Rebalance
Removal of ability stacking!
-The days of fighting an enemy team of 3 Hero's with 24% Less Enemy Life (24 * 3 = 72) where you start the battle with 28% of your total health are gone.
Critical Hits!
-Adjust how often and how much damage CRITS apply
-Increase the importance of an items MIN/MAX damage stat
Rework stats impact on each class
-This allows for the Barbarian and Bard to exist

#3 Economy Rework - (In Game)
Continue to adjust Gold Costs and Inflation
Addressing BREAD and its USE CASE
As you know we are reworking the entire game economy, progress is being made and we are happy with what we are seeing so far. A lot of this week's changes will show in the data over the next few weeks.
MED PRIORITY !!! RESOURCES WILL BE ASSIGNED AS THEY ROLL OF 1ST MILESTONE

#4 Moving away from a P2W game/business model
I have not talked about this much, but our goal is to move to more of a Freeium model.
As players we don't like the P2W concept or "INVESTOR" player concept.
Does not mean we don't enjoy a healthy "SECONDARY" market for in-game items? No. We completely support a strong secondary market.

So what changes will this have?
1st - Bread will be removed as a FIAT GATEWAY for P2W mechanics.
2nd -Our revenue streams will come from in-game use cases that make the game more enjoyable but not REQUIRED to climb the ladders
More details soon.

For "INVESTOR" type players we will be introducing some of the 1st "UNIVERSAL" in-game items. You will be able to find an item in Holybread and that same item is used in another game. Players of that game can buy the item directly from the marketplace. This takes multiple layers of design & planning but we feel is the future of Blockchain gaming.

#5 Arena Rewards
More info coming this week.
You will see a "rShares Earned" column coming to the Rankings soon
the higher ranked you are the quicker your rShares will increase.
The rShares "Value" will determine your UpVote.

Please discuss it. I'm very grateful for all the changes you're making. Excellent work.

We are not going to be adding a 4th Hero to the Arena,
but we are going to be giving Hero's other things to do.

So say your Hero is doing Task #1, because they are on the task they can not be in the Arena.

Our goal is too make more choices of how and when you use your Hero's.
@buddy.nole is hard working on this.

I am super excited to create more USE cases for items to help drive the secondary market. (I just can't talk about them yet)
