The "problem" is that there are so many people who probably would even pay double the price that it really doesn't matter. Maybe they would sell like 10% more if it the price would be way cheaper. But that would not be profitable.

If I really like a game, I use the same approach. For example I will definitely buy the Age of Empires Definite Editions of I and II and the new IV. It won't make much of a difference if its 30$ or 50$ for one of them.
