The Basics

Just like most mmo's, Elder Scrolls Online, or "eso" is based directly around how the players wants to play. Different races, classes, and armor styles are available to the player. After loading up the game, the player can make his/her character. After playing through the first "quest" the immediate next one will show up. The player will earn experience/gold/armor/weapons for completing each quest. These are just the basics.

Graphics

The game runs very smooth, and sticks to the bethesda graphics style. Everything looks almost the same as in skyrim, and i really appreciate that. The game runs great for me on all settings and resolutions. So you should not find a hard time running this. Here is my eso graphics video:

The Lore

Eso does a great job of staying true to the elderscrolls tittles. Everything in the game can be traced to something that has happened in one of the previous games. A lot of creatures that were present in Skyrim, Oblivion, and more are also present in eso. Even some characters that i met in both Oblivion, and Skyrim were in this game: 306130_screenshots_2015-04-24_00004.jpg

Dialog

The dialog in eso has been streamlined from the past games. With very little choices, and extra dlc's needed to make threats and such. It seems to me bethesda blew its budget on voice actors instead of using it toward allowing players more decisive freedom. But i guess i do not mind it too much

Loot

The looting system in this game is great. I really like how loot is gathered. For raw materials like wood and ore, a player must go adventuring in search of fallen trees, and iron nodes. Killing normal mobs generally drops low tier loot, and small amounts of gold. While killing bosses can reward you with higher tier loot, high amounts of gold, and rare items. There are also quest that reward you with higher items. (Such as the undaunted quests). I believe this is the best part of eso, and what leads so many players to love it.

The Main Quests

SPOILERS AHEAD

The main quest follows along with the lore of all the elderscrolls games. While there is not much to talk about, i can tell you that you will not be wasting your time by playing through it. There are tons of rewards and fun quests to play during the story, so do not avoid it. Here is a pic of the final boss:

PVP

Before you ask, "is there actual pvp on this game", let me tell you "yes". PVP is a pretty big part of the elder scrolls online, and is worth trying. While you need specific builds to be successful, its worth the time. The map is huge, you can fight groups of up to 100 at a time, and some fat loot is to be gained.

Ending

Honestly eso is a 50/50 game. If you really like the game, and how it looks then go ahead and pick the game up and try it. I liked the game quite alot. with 350 hours on it, and more to come; i think its well worth it.

Sort:

I have completed the main storyline for ESO and am now working my way through the sidequests. I have put so many hours into it now, I have defiantly got my moneys worth

Yah me to, i have beat every quest on 2 sides of the map, looking to complete the third.
With a 160 character, not much left to do.

This is very interesting. @teawithtaylor

Glad you think so.

cool review. I heard the game has gotten better over time.

Oh god yes. At first release the game was at most "iffy". But now its amazing.

I might have to get it for my wife then she loved skyrim. Can i include your review in the best of the week?
