in #gaming7 years ago

"We Happy Few is the tale of a plucky bunch of moderately terrible people trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial"

Imagine a world where every time you feel sad you take acid, and your world is transformed into a happy place. This is the kind of world We Happy Few transports you to, a world of false realities and denial. The citizens of Wellington Wells do not take kindly to people who don't take their joy (acid), and if you don't take it you will pay dearly, possibly with your life. As you explore the city you will learn how Wellington Wells came to be this way, and who is behind it.

We Happy Few take place in a Retrofuturistic city in an alternate 1960s England. The world is procedurally generated and highly repayable. Their is no respawning in We Happy Few, each time you die you will take control of another character in a new randomly generated city. Gameplay in We Happy Few consists of blending into the local population, stealth, and combat. We Happy Few is also a survival game, you will have to meet your basic needs like hunger, thirst, and sleep.
