Cucumber

I had tried three times to get these to germinate. Last try, I just popped three seeds in the ground and, wouldn't you know it, one came up. These do not grow from clippings like the tomatoes do.

This is the same little guy that I pinched off and planted a few days ago. Looking perky but still, I need it to get a little taller and to make some of those lovely yellow flowers.

The one on the left has its first of the edible leaves starting microscopically.

Chili Pepper

This one sprouted a couple weeks ago and still had its seed casing on the tips of the long upper leaves. It has not grown much at all since coming up. I pulled it right out of a chili pepper and popped it in the ground. Who knows? It might be one of those GMO Peppers that refuses to grow unless you show it a receipt for the seeds.

C'mon Bill!

These are my veggies that are so succulent when plucked and eaten same minute. I expect that wonderful experience to be transpiring in just few weeks. So many friends stop by hoping I offer them a real fruit to dazzle the tongue.

Come back in a bit for more!
